Planetarium Draft 3

Picking musical accompaniment for my planetarium piece has been so challenging! I've been trying so many different things, and this has consistently been my favorite. I like the way the dream-like tune carries the words like an undercurrent. What do you guys think?

  1. I really like the music in the introduction, when it's just the tune, a lot. However when the beat kicks in I found it to be more overwhelming, and distracting from the girl talking. I would try and keep it simple, so it doesn't fight her voice for the listeners attention.

  2. Audrey,
I think there are some nice qualities to the music, but I agree with Melania about when the beat kicks in.
I'd like you to listen to this GREAT session from Third Coast by the host of RadioLab about using music to help a story.

It's long (81 minutes) but brilliant. Listen. Take notes. And then let's talk. You have great material. I would hate to have the music muddy it. You are in the fortunate position of having time to really take this to the next level because you already have such good tape.
